  8. You are not allowed to change this readme file.

  10. You should get the following files:
  11.  
  12.   docstrip.cmd     Command file for docstrip.tex to produce exercise.sty.
  13.  
  14.   exercise.doc     `exercise' style for LaTeX. You have to run it
  15.                    through the docstrip.tex program to produce the
  16.                    corresponding style file. You can also use this file
  17.            directly by copying or linking it to exercise.sty,
  18.            but that will be less efficient.
  19.   exercise.tex     Driver for exercise documentation. Run this through
  20.                    LaTeX for the documented version.
  21.  
  22.   extest.tex       Small sample LaTeX input file that demonstrates
  23.                    some of the features of the exercise style file.
  24.  
  25.   readme           This file.
  26.  
  27. To work with this package you also need the verbatim package (MZ4).
  28. The docstrip.tex program is contained in the multicol package (MZ1).
  29. You should be able to get all these files through the same channels
  30. as this package.

  32. To produce the style files please run docstrip.tex through LaTeX
  33. and answer the question
  34.  
  35.  `Command file docstrip.cmd found. Use it (y/n)?'
  36.  
  37. with `y'. This will generate all sty files.  If you already have
  38. older versions of the files, docstrip will ask whether or not you
  39. want to overwrite those versions.
  40.  
  41. Distribution of unchanged versions:
  42.   
  43.   You are NOT ALLOWED to take money for the distribution or use of
  44.   these files except for a nominal charge for copying etc.
  45.  
  46.   Redistribution of unchanged files is allowed provided that all files
  47.   listed in the corresponding package README file are distributed
  48.   including this readme file.
  49.  
  50.   If you receive only some of these files from someone, complain!
  51.   
  52.   However, if these files are distributed by established suppliers as
  53.   part of a complete TeX distribution, and the structure of the
  54.   distribution would make it difficult to distribute the whole set of
  55.   files, *those parties* are allowed to distribute only some of the
  56.   files provided that it is made clear that the user will get a
  57.   complete distribution-set upon request to that supplier (not me).

  59.   Notice that this permission is not granted to the end user.

  61. Generation and distribution of changed versions:

  63.   The generation of changed versions of the files included in the
  64.   packages is allowed under the following restrictions:

  66.   - You rename the file before you make any changes to it.

  68.   - You acknowledge the origin of the changed version in the file and
  69.     keep the information that it (or a changed version) has to be
  70.     distributed under the restrictions mentioned in this file.

  72.   The distribution of changed versions of the files included in the
  73.   packages is allowed under the following restrictions:

  75.   - You provide the user with information how to obtain the original
  76.     package or, even better, distribute it with your files.

  78.   - You make sure that the changed versions contain a notice that
  79.     prevents others from taking money for distribution or use of your
  80.     files, i.e. they have to be distributed under the restrictions
  81.     mentioned in this file.
